Sector Learning Solutionsideazone.zenutech.com has partnered with Sector Learning of Victoria to offer a “Social Media for Business Success” course.

This is not a lecture, a seminar, or even a workshop!

It is an intensive, small class, hands-on training course designed especially to help small business succeed in Social Media. It is spread over 6 weeks (2 hours per week), to maximize, reinforce and measure the results of the integration of social media over a period of time.

We will work with the businesses on the course, to ensure they focus their energies right, and get the best return on investment possible for their time and money. Our aim is to equip businesses with the skills needed to make the most of the changing Internet landscape.

    Since Catherine Novak (@wordspring) and will be co-teaching this I am especially excited!! I think it is critical that we are helping the businesses or individuals to define an online marketing strategy at these same time we explore (and actually get them started on) all the most popular and common Social Media tools. By the end of the class they will be tweeting (with actual followers), facebooking (with actual friends), blogging, using youtube, and on LinkedIn, with actual connections.

    In addition to the 2 hours of in-class time per week, there is a 1-hour online meeting to reinforce learning and introduce guest speakers with local success in applying the actual topics. Powerful stuff.
