Responsive Websites with Twitter Bootstrap

Responsive Websites with Twitter BootstrapNolan Walker, Technical Director at IdeaZone.ca, has been experimenting with a responsive design framework put out by the good folks at Twitter called Twitter Bootstrap. He has developed an advanced WordPress theme called WordStrap, which he intends to release publicly (for free!) very shortly.  In the meantime, we are putting the final touches on our first custom-designed, responsive, shopping cart-enabled WordPress website built using Twitter Bootstrap and Shopp. By leveraging frameworks and advanced ecommerce plugins, we’re able to deliver our clients highly customized, cutting edge websites for a fraction of the cost traditionally associated with this kind of advanced development.

Wait, what is a responsive website? Simple, it responds to your device based on resolution. So if you’re looking at a responsive website on an iPhone, the display will be customized for that device.  Same with Android devices, tablets, laptops and desktops.  Traditionally websites would rely on the device to try to make the site look ok.  But with this new technology, we get to control how the site looks.  And that gives us the level of custom design and visual presentation that makes IdeaZone.ca a leader in website development.

With Nolan continuing to be so plugged into the WordPress and UI development, IdeaZone.ca is staying bleeding edge with what we can produce. For more information, drop Nolan an email at nolan@ideazone.ca.
