Victoria BC Points of Interest – Miniature World

Explore a scaled down version of historic events and fantasy worlds at one of Victoria’s most popular family attractions – Miniature World.

The museum of tiny exhibitions can be found on Humboldt Street, just off the inner harbour. With 85 dioramas and miniature displays featuring everything from the gold rush to World War 2, to fantastical dolls houses, Gulliver’s Travels and more, the whole family will enjoy a few hours here.

The delight really is in the detail here. Each display has been put together by hand with everything designed to look as true to life as possible, just on a miniature scale.

Some of the exhibits include moving parts, such as the Great Canadian Railway which journeys across each province in turn, highlighting the changing landscapes and historical eras.

For those who enjoy fairy tales and fantasy worlds, you will be delighted by fantasyland which features all kinds of faeries and fictional characters in worlds filled with fantastical details.

No visitor can help but be impressed by the accurate details found within the Valley of Castles, featuring famous real life castles from across Europe. The historic details included in the world of Camelot and Olde London Town will keep your eyes busy as you take everything in.

Circus world will delight with its depiction of all the fun of the fairground including performing animals and moving, lighted fairground rides.

Every member of the family is sure to enjoy having a giant’s eye view over their favourite exhibit.
